TelaI know your jewelry isnt geeky - but maybe sci fi could be your inspiration; do you have any stones that if polished right could look like contilations? or wraped right could resemble a space ship? I probably do have a few and I have done quite a few sci fi inspired pieces. Maybe I need to pull those stones out.  |

Like I said mine tends to be anime. Naruto is still on going, love Attack on Titan, Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist, Love Hina, pretty much all the Studio Ghibli films, (so sad it's coming to an end) and so much more!

I am completely assimilated by Sci Fi- Just about any kind. From Dr Who and Timey Whimey Sci Fi to Babylon 5 and Dramatic Sci Fi. I love it all. My favorite movie is still Blade Runner. Saw it in the theater originally and for the anniversary release. It still gives me goosbumps. I could write abt sci fi all day, but I won't. OK-- just let me mention a few more recent sci fi shows Fringe, Stargate Universe, Serenity, and Battlestar Gallactica. LOVE THEM! Yes, I am a geek- the whole family is. Here is my favorite t shirt. I got 2 so when I wear one out I'll have another.  I want this shirt. I bet Mister Tea does, too. |

My friend has recently gotten me into the Welcome to Night Vale podcast. So funny. I'm going to try and knit him a hat with the emblem on it for, if not Christmas, then hopefully New Year. I hope it turns out ok - I chose cotton yarn so that it wouldn't be too hot, but I've never knitted with cotton before, and it has no give in it, so if it's the wrong size... It's the thought that counts, right?

I grew up on syndicated Star Trek, and followed all the spin-offs (I might break my strict catch-and-release policy for Capt. Picard), loved every cheesy corny minute of the original BSG, the re-boot was totally awesome. I pay for the full cable package just so I can get BBC America and watch Dr. Who and Orphan Black. Basically, if it's sci-fi, I'll watch it, regardless of how bad it is. BTVS is one of my all time favorites and any version of the Whedonverse feels like home to me. But my heart was finally stolen, and will always belong to the crew of Firefly. I was in mourning and denial for I don't know how long when the series was cancelled. Serenity is the only movie I saw multiple times in the theater. You can't take the sky from me.
