Hello every I am new to the forum and would like to say Hi. I am inspired by Surrealism, Impressionism, Sci - Fi and the medieval and more traditional Knot work of the early Celts and the Islamic World. There is a similarity between the mathematical and woven geometric patterns of Islamic Art and the twisting interconnecting Knot work of the Medieval Celts that captivates my imagination. My work treads along the path between these seemingly conflicting styles. It is this theme of commonality that is the underpinning facet of the pieces I produce. I aim to highlight and explore the middle ground between the cultures that my life inhabits. I create sculptures, art and jewellery. There is a lot to see on my Etsy Store www.etsy.com/uk/your/shops/ArtofEmaan and at my own site Stop by and say hello

Hi, I am from London, born and bred. But I have always loved celtic designs and symbolism. So when I started looking into Islamic Art I saw the similarities. I am not sure why that link is not working. I have to re type it. I may have written it wrongly.
