So glad that I was accepted to this team. I began weaving more than 30 years ago and, yes, I am older than dirt - as they say here in the midwest!
In the past I combined weaving with chair caning, basketry, custom sewing and alterations, and assisting another weaver with her production. If my hands aren't busy, there is something missing. Everything in my shop was woven by me on one of my two floor looms. My 16 harness AVL workhorse has been with me since 1986. This is my favorite loom. The other, an 8 harness LeClerc Nilus II, is still the newby and still too new for me to feel truly comfortable with yet.
In my spare time, I am a birder and volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary owned by my state's oldest conservation organization!
I hope to be an active an engaged member of this team.

Hi Vicki! Your shop and items are lovely! I've dreamed of and only slightly dabbled in weaving; the loom on your about page makes me drool (I only have an inkle loom, a slightly larger - about 10" wide - simple loom, and a kromski harp rigid heddle, and some cards for tablet weaving); and your gorgeous weaves remind me of how much of a beginner I am (and likely always will be)!
