Hi, I'm Judith, I live in Brighton in the UK with my long suffering husband, next month we will have been married for 25 years (eek!). We have two adult children, my son Robert who has temporarily moved back home after finishing university in Manchester and my daughter Natalie who is in her last year at Sussex university. I make lampwork glass beads and jewellery. I started bead weaving and making jewellery about 15 years ago and moved on to lampworking in 2002 when it was almost impossible to find equipment in the UK. I make jewellery using my own beads and sterling silver, sometimes I stray into copper or other metals but I love the way silver looks with glass. Originally I sold my beads on Ebay untill it became impossible to rise above the tide of imported mass produced beads and so moved to my own website and Etsy. I am hugely disappointed that Etsy has gone the same way and hope that by coming together as a team we can make an impact for handmade artists.

Hi Judith! I really enjoyed looking through your shop and your lovely beads. I dream of working with glass someday...

Hello Judith. I have no idea how you actually make beads. As far as I knew beads just always "were" then someone finds them and makes them into necklaces. I do understand that is totally incorrect. Beautiful shop, beautiful beads! I make my own wooden beads! I wish I could make glass beads though. They look like so much fun to make.

Lovely to meet you all and thank you for all the kind compliments I can recommend melting glass to make beads. You can actually start with minimum equipment but the trouble is it is utterly addictive and once you get sucked in there is no way back

Hi Judith! Hubby and I have been married 27 years now. Still going strong. I bought some stained glass supplies from a designer that moved from stained glass to handmade glass beads. They were like tiny works of art made with such care. Yours look like that too...beautiful.
