My lip balms are $4.50CAD each; two for $9.00. Where did you see $2.15 – I don't think our dollar difference is that much! I found the price in the 2 Organic Vegan Lip Balm Sets at www.etsy.com/listing/175328933/ the choice for 1 Set of two is listed for $7.30 or $3.65 each not $2.15....don't know where the $2.15 came from....my bad I do like the discount on buying two though I like the changes to the Shop Sections and the addition of the Natural Vegan Soaps and Body Products, Sustainable Home Goods and Simple Fashion Accessories. It really nails what you make and lets every one know right away some of the things that can be found in your shop

FYI - I edited the original post here to add some links on product photography and watermarking. As I add new "resources" this week, I will put them up there so they are easy to find. I just read the article about photos and like the "infinity curve" so a large piece of pure white construction board is on my shopping list I also think I may start photographing on the north side of my garage where it's shaded most of the day but has very bright light. It will be a hassle to set up, but I think my rolling garden table made from a old bar B que grill might work. At least my back will love rolling it around instead of having to pick it up

I used a photo editing software called Serif Draw. It is a very similar program to Photoshop. I croped out the background and then added it to the Banner and product photos. Thanks Ian. I tried Pixlr and it's another learning experience. I'll try Serif Draw next. I have a very old Photoshop and have tried Gimp but again, more learning experiences. So far, Gimp and Pixlr seem to have about the same instructions but I haven't mastered it yet. You'd think with all this I'd be better at taking pictures! I use pixlr for a few things - i found watching 'how-tos' on youtube helped. (a how-to is someone recording themselves using a feature of an app/software etc & talking you through what they are doing) if you just search for the name of the app & what it is specifically that you want to do. ie. how to color balance in pixlr you should get a ton of links; there are written how-tos too if you prefer that method of learning - sometimes it is a good idea to add the year so you get a how to on a recent verion of the software.

Any suggestions and opinions will be very appreciated I think the white background works well with your 'style'; that said the model photograph works well; as do the gray wood background (not sure about the other wood background used for a yellow ring - but it could work with other colore pieces) I would recomend using the - rearrange shop feature to move things around so the 'different backgrounds' are scattered rather than clumped at the bottom. also i love the use of keys as a prop - it is perfect for your keyrings. it shows scale & function perfectly.

Although this week is about banners and photos, it's also about branding, which includes "off Etsy" things you do like your business cards and packaging.
Are you being consistent with your message? Do the colors and fonts on your card match your Etsy banner?
What about your website, FB page, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.? Do people know instantly that they are visiting "your" pages just from the colors, logo, font, etc?
Do you use your logo as your avatar or profile photo consistently across social media, your shop, etc.? If you blog, or comment on blogs, do have a gravatar that matches your logo or whatever image you are using to represent your brand?
If you aren't using a logo, are you using a photo of your yourself (you are your brand, afterall) or one of your products (is it representative of your brand overall)? Is it obvious everywhere people might find you that it is "brand you" based on that image?
Does the style of your packaging match your brand identity? Just as with your photo props and backgrounds, you want to avoid sending mixed signals. Perhaps using shiny foil labels and satin ribbon when your product is rustic and organic is not the most cohesive effect. Do you offer special packaging as a standard part of your sales? Maybe you want to include a photo of that in some of your product listings. Especially if it further represents what your brand is about.
