Help?! I FINALLY put up a new banner, but it looks much clearer in Picasa than it does on the upload. Tried a few different versions of it in the last hour or so, but they all seem to look fuzzy in the end. Suggestions on how to fix it? Also, not sure I'm sold on the look and would love some feedback. I was trying to make it look more like my business cards and tie it to my products. insomniactreasures.etsy.comDitto what the others said. The banner does not appear blurry on either of my monitors. (using Chrome as my browser)

I got my new Paisley Lizard logo from the artist on Friday. I played around with some new fonts and was fussing with PSE to add a border or frame for my banner. Gave up on the border for now, but will keep trying. I need to make new business cards and a new banner for my website too. Not 100% in love with this banner. The lizard has lots of small details (scales - which look awesome in larger images) that make it seem fuzzy or blurry, especially compared to the font. I'm not sure I'll be keeping it like this. I thought I'd test drive it for a while and see if it grows on me.

They always seem to be "testing" something and when they do, I have no idea what logic they use to decide who is in vs. out of the test group. I can see banners for every shop I've visited. Except yours. There is no banner on your shop.

My suggestion would be to add some depth to the lizard (shading) and/or to match fonts on paisley lizard to balance the weight more.

I was thinking the same thing about the lizard but when I added a drop shadow it made it look dingy. I might need to work with the graphic artist who made her to sharpen the outline or something. I can also change the dimensional effects on the lettering to make it match. There are two different fx being used right now. One is a sharp inner ridge and the other is a smooth.

TammyA Can you make the dark and light parts on the lizard match the dark and light on the word "paisley"? I think that would give it more depth than a drop shadow. Might be easier to match the lettering colors to the lizard than the other way around though.

Might be easier to match the lettering colors to the lizard than the other way around though. I pulled the font color from one of the browns in the lizard. I think it looks like it doesn't match because of all the small details on the lizard and the fx on the fonts. I'm still playing around with fonts and color in PSE. I'm not a graphic artist so it's slow going. Last night I tried the font in a lighter brown, closer to the ecru in the paisley. And I tried it with the same font for both words. Etc. It's a lot like when I make jewelry. I move things around, swap out some beads, change the color of the metal, move things around again.
