There is really nothing I can do about the layout of my shop's home page. I can change out the order, and I do on a fairly regular basis. The one thing I CAN work on is the banner itself. He said it looked nice, but would be better if it conveyed more about what I sell in my shop. So changing out my shop banner will be my next order of business, I guess. When I first view your current banner I have trouble with the red letters imposed over the blue patchwork pattern. It's kind of hard to read on my computer monitor. Have you ever tried white lettering on your banner? It might be a quick fix if you can just change the color of the letters without a hassle. I do love the "Quilted Patchwork Treasures" in your shop description and think it really does convey what you make

So I've been playing around a little with the image on my business cards. This is a combination of air brush and the comic filter in Photoshop. It still needs polishing and I think I may start with a completely different photo, but I'm kinda liking the look. Plus it's just fun learning all the things I can do.

I like it. It is fun to learn more about how to do things to photos. I think I've finally figured out how to make a transparent background.

Help?! I FINALLY put up a new banner, but it looks much clearer in Picasa than it does on the upload. Tried a few different versions of it in the last hour or so, but they all seem to look fuzzy in the end. Suggestions on how to fix it? Also, not sure I'm sold on the look and would love some feedback. I was trying to make it look more like my business cards and tie it to my products. insomniactreasures.etsy.com

I like the far right font and colors for your company name and your name, but I had a hard time reading the "Imaginative Adornments......." Could you make that font a little larger for easier readability? You could try a little larger font and under the large INSOMNIAC letters put the rest of your materials. Something like the below, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to pull it off with 3 lines. Just a thought.... INSOMNIAC Treasures Imaginative Adornments In by Lisa Prus Designs Wire ~ Stone ~ Leather Glass ~ Reclaimed MaterialsI also like the photos of the jewelry and adornments, but don't like them in the boxes. The boxes seems to be taking up a lot of space that you could use for your creations instead of a frame. In Microsoft Illustrator I can "cut out" a portion of a picture and when I cut it out I can use a "hard" or "soft" (0-100%) cutting edge. If you can do that, could you cut them out and put them there on a light grey background. I used this effect for all the pictures I put in my blog articles, and also like to use this effect because the border of the picture seems to always blend in better with anything it might be put on top of, or "sent to the back". I think "cutting out" the images will actually allow them to be bigger (cause the box is gone) and they might easier to see and show more detail. I cheated and just added a light green background to my banner, and did change to a different font so it is easier to read.
