I'm Cheryl from Washington State. I live about 12 miles north of Seattle. I am a transplant from the Chicago area. We moved to Washington when I was a teenager a million years ago. I create jewelry that is nature inspired, elegant, vintage style, whimsical, classy and a wee bit sassy! Most my pieces are created using a twisted wire technique. I have been doing jewelry since 2009 after I took a wire working class that I thought I could use in my stained glass business. I was a stained glass artist for over 30 years. As it turned out, my stained glass studio has become a jewelry studio, all the glass supplies and tools have been sold. I am totally addicted to beads, wire and twisting. I opened my etsy shop Nov 2011 and absolutely love Etsy and the connection with fellow artists as well as customers.
Between my hubby and I have 4 kids, and three grandkids. I dearly love having the grandkids over. I love my hubby to death, love gardening and long walks. I will say that my garden has been ignored a bit since opening my Etsy shop. Darn those dang weeds, they won't go away on their own!
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and being a part of such a great group of artists.

Hi Cheryl, welcome to the forums. I know what you mean about getting hooked on jewelry! I never made a thing until early 2012 and I haven't put down the pliers and beads since. This morning my husband asked what I wanted for my birthday and I told him rocks and metal...silly man.

It must be because we are both scorpio's my birthday is coming up next week and I wouldn't mind a nice gift certificate to buy some tools. Probably you are like me, thousand of beads in your inventory? This tax season I decided to get my accounting act together and inventory every bead. I had three people helping off and on for a week, and I am still not done with the inventory, but every single bead and supply I bought this year has been logged inventoried. A gem show is coming to town in a couple weeks, I can't wait to go and buy more beads. Happy Early Birthday!

If there is really such a thing. I explain to my husband that it's not like they are perishable, so I consider them an investment. I'm hoping for a trip to the Tucson show one day.
