Hey all, as we have reached 100 members, as said, a call for a moderator will be required. You can find out more about a moderator role here: thehandmadeforum.boards.net/thread/460/moderatorIf you're interested in this role please respond here. As the forum keeps growing more moderators will be needed, so if you're not selected to be one just yet, don't be offended or upset, you may be one as the forum grows. As a moderator, the forum will require you to 'police' the forum. Keeping it tidy and answering members questions. - Police the forum: As this place is open for everyone to register, we will get spam accounts (People only interested in posting spam/adverts/profanity) Anyone who disobeys the forum rules thehandmadeforum.boards.net/thread/4/forum-rules-read posts racist, discriminate or anything deemed as a personal attack, posts must be deleted. If a member becomes a serial abuser they will be banned. You must alert the Forum administrator or a super moderator for this to happen.
- Keeping the forum tidy: People can post things in the wrong places, it is your role to delete/edit/move threads to the correct place.
- Being active: It is your duty to be active on the forum, help new and existing members, welcome people to the forum and to help (when needed) with challenges and tasks.
You don't have to log in every day, we all have lives outside the forum, but as a moderator the forum does expect you to be here often. Showing up occasionally is not good enough.
So if I haven't scared you all away, any one want to become a forum moderator???

I haven't been on the new board terribly long, but I used to be an active member before all the changes were made. I'd consider taking this on. I used to be a team leader on an Etsy team that fizzled and I sort of miss it. I especially have a passion for helping newbies learn the ropes. I have learned so much from all of you who are willing to share your experience, including all the "pits" you've fallen into as well as the things that work for you. I'd love to pay it forward, so to speak. I'm willing if you want me, but I certainly won't be insulted if I'm not chosen.

Thanks, I think! I'm not sure I know how to do all the things on that list, like moving and sticking threads, but I guess I'll ask if I need help.

Thanks, I think! I'm not sure I know how to do all the things on that list, like moving and sticking threads, but I guess I'll ask if I need help. what i did was posted a random comment explaining thta i was learning how to move edit etc. and then I played around with the tools that you should see in the far right corner moving it to a different thread, turning a single comment into a new thread & pinning it to the top and then deleting them...

I'm sure I'll catch on soon enough. I just need to wander around and check things out.
