I am interested in a stamp. I do wonder if people think it's odd for someone that creates digital product to sport a "handmade" stamp. To me it is no different than creating something using a sewing machine or crochet needle but honestly, I'd like to hear from others.
I can only speak for myself
you design an item using your hands (to control your mouse or touchscreen device)
you offer customisation on items - which means you edit them by hand
to me this is handmade - the tools of your trade are your computer - just like the tools of my trade are my pegboards & domestic iron
you use an every day object (a computer) to make artistic posters, invites etc; i use an iron to make geek things
therefor in my opinion your work is handmade
i know there are some people who only consider 'true' handmade to be something that is made from start to finish by a single person - as in raise a lamb; sheer a lamb; hand dye & spin the wool, knit/'crochet the wool (or whatever the process is for every single item)
but that is un realistic for many mediums - is dix expected to go mining for silver? should katie plant a fforest (and then wait 50 years for the trees to mature); doi need to learn the art of making plastics that melt and fuse together at a specific temperature?
so in summary if you want a badge i think you should have a badge!
