Hi, SweetMamaKaty told me about this group, and I think it is a great idea. I've seen some customers swearing off etsy after the changes to the rules were made. I hope groups like ours will encourage them and help us to encourage one another.
About my little storefront:
Deodorants and Diaper Rash Treatments
My products are the result of many hours of research and many test batches. You will not find these floating around as DIY recipes because I strove to make something more effective, gentle, and luxe than any of the recipes I could find. After selling them for a year on a crunchy forum, I expanded to etsy.
*My cloth diaper using diaperstick testers indicate that my diaper rash treatment is CD safe (should not cause stripping).
*I've had hyperhidrosis and know what it is like to constantly have to worry about smell. IME, and that of many others, my deodorant *works* and also wicks well.
*Currently my deodorant contains mostly organic (or non-agricultural; i.e., zinc oxide & baking soda) ingredients and no aluminums, alums, parabens, or artificial scents.
*I will be switching out most other ingredients for their organic counterparts as they are used up--ultimately resulting in sweatsticks that are 99+% organic (or non-agricultural) ingredients. Already since joining etsy, I have transitioned to organic arrowroot and organic castor oil. I'm also working on a third scent.
*The naturally extracted form of baking soda I use is allergy safe for many people who find that baking soda deodorants give them a rash.
*I use 100% biodegradable mailers (and Priority FREs for large orders or the occasional reuse of a mailer on hand).
I am a Yankee living in Tennessee, a writer and a survivor: I battle a severe chronic illness daily. Currently I am housebound, but I love looking out at the small forest of vine-draped trees here and dreaming about the days when I was a active mountain woman. I want to express my love for those trees and this world in what I put my hands to and want it to be a safer place for those with bodies as sensitive as mine. I only make my deodorants and diapersticks up in small, fresh batches; I do not list them unless they are ready to go, as the strength and presence of mind to make a new batch ebbs and flows. I will not have customers waiting ! My faith is really important to me; actually I became ill while leading a mission trip many years ago.
Thanks for including me!
