Probably the only tv show I watch consistently is Dr Who (it's a family tradition - we're all nerds). I enjoy others, but there's a real sense of excitement sitting with mum and dad and my brother waiting for the theme song to come on. And then talking about it with my grandparents in the days afterwards

I go through stages. I get really hooked onto one TV series and it only lasts for 2 or so seasons. Like being human.

You want me to pick one?
*mrfs*
Going to have to chew on that.
Although, brain automagically expands it beyond "shows," so... even more complicated.

You want me to pick one? *mrfs* Going to have to chew on that. Although, brain automagically expands it beyond "shows," so... even more complicated. i have SO many shows i love - but were after that one defining show - the show (or other) that reeled you in to geekdom - the show you have watched a hundred times - and can always watch again; the show you quote o a daily basis.... *chuckles* Wasn't reeled into geekdom by a show, so... However, there is a short list for the things that come up in conversation regularly or are referenced/attached into our mutual sub-langue of English... Star Trek, Doctor Who, Firefly My first doctor was Tom Baker, and his was... Gah. I can never remember his name and I haven't seen much of his doctor yet, just his Herriot. Mister Tea calls him "the cute doctor." And Firefly is mourned. So much. Granted, I also enjoyed BtVS and Angel. Supernatural. Sherlock. Agents of SHIELD and the entire movie franchise attached. Um. Rowling's Wizarding world. Tolkien. Heinlein. Asimov. Star Wars. David Weber's Honorverse. Stirling's 'The Change.' Narnia. Lackey's Valdemar. I will stop now because there's probably more and initially it was supposed to be one, and early morning brain is rambling.

I am completely assimilated by Sci Fi- Just about any kind. From Dr Who and Timey Whimey Sci Fi to Babylon 5 and Dramatic Sci Fi. I love it all. My favorite movie is still Blade Runner. Saw it in the theater originally and for the anniversary release. It still gives me goosbumps. I could write abt sci fi all day, but I won't. OK-- just let me mention a few more recent sci fi shows Fringe, Stargate Universe, Serenity, and Battlestar Gallactica. LOVE THEM! Yes, I am a geek- the whole family is. Here is my favorite t shirt. I got 2 so when I wear one out I'll have another.
