There is an issue of sending activation keys to new members who have a Microsoft email account. Such as, Live/Hotmail/Outlook. Proboards our forum host is aware of this and can confirm that the issue is on Microsofts side.
If you have a gmail email account or a yahoo email account - then you should be able to receive the activation key email.
I am currently talking to proboards to see if I can add new members manually whilst this issue is happening.
UPDATE: Proboards are still trying to get Microsoft to reverse their changes. In the mean time, it is advised to create a free email account with gmail or yahoo to join this forum. When the issue has been resolved I will update this thread so new members who have had to create a new email account with gmail or yahoo can edit their profiles and put in their original email address if you wish. Very sorry for any inconvenience. Damn you Microsoft! Grrrrr.
